oh cool. When I posted this last night it didn't quite go through (the whole site went down for half an hour or so...) I didn't think this poll made it through!

As for chip not being the approrpriate word, it isn't that far off if you know what I'm talking about. Subconsciously I used the word chip because I wanted to make the third choice Frito Lay - but decided that in the true spirit of science I would just this once NOT be complete smartass.

I'm down with the AMD. I like the fact that I don't see their advertisements on TV all the time. I don't like that I've already lost one processor to thermal failure...

But the procs are cheap enough that you can replace them once a year and still spend less overall than you would on a pentium. Or you can just pony up the bucks on a decent fan.
