hi there

I dont know much if any at all about video formants codecs etc so u understand this line of questions

I have wmp8, Quicktime 6 + updates 30 mions ago anyway

i downloaded a file that was 30mb smurfs.avi

in WMP8 it usually downloads codec for u not this time
i recieve this message ERROR DOWNLOADING CODEC
does this mean thae file is corrupt or do i need codec packs or addons

also how do i install them were etc

The same with quicktime 6 it displays a screen saying
something about cant run file compression not available
along those lines anyway

If any help would be great thanks
