Cool Memory Detection Problem...

Hello,

I have a Gigabyte GA-8PE667 Ultra Mobo, which has 3 DIMM slots, and I've had 1 Gig (2 X 512) of DDR 333 in there for a long time. I just got my new parts in from Newegg and popped in the third stick of memory to take me to 1.5 Gigs and it just won't detect the extra 512 MB worth of RAM.

I've tried every combination of new/odd sticks in all combos of DIMM slots to rule out a bad DIMM slot and I just can't get the extra 512 MB to detect. For example I've used both old sticks in DIMMs 1 & 2, 1 & 3, and 2 & 3 and got 1 GB to detect. I've used 1 new and 1 old stick in same way and had 1 GB detect. Then I swapped to the second old stick with the new and all combos get 1 GB detect. When I add the third stick it will not detect.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
