ram issues
hello..i am new here so i will try to explain my problem..i have a pentium 4 2.66 proc and a asus p4p800 se board will four slots for ram..i am running 4 256mb sticks of ram at 2700mhz......my buddy has the idenical pc except he has two sticks of 512mb ddr400 ram....when he is surfing the net while he is downloading off of torrent sites..he exsperiences little to no lag when loading pages even when is downloading at say 700 or 800 kb a second...we both use the same bit client..set up the same and mine is a complete dog even if i am only downloading one thing off torrent site..would it be the ram that is making the difference..and if so is there anything i can do to compinsate for it..ty..ps i am on cable net with a 10mb connection
