You can try looking in the BIOS and make sure that your hard drive is the first boot device or make sure it is selected as a boot device. The IDE cable may be bad since it worked on another computer so you may want to check that. I guess the another thing is that you may want to make sure it is set to either cable select or master for that computer unless you have another hard drive in it.
Another problem may be that the motherboard IDE end may be bad. You may want to pull the IDE cable off of the motherboard side of the machine and plug it in to the other IDE slot on the MOBO. Hope this helps you get started on trouble shooting the problem.
