The fastest processor I can see that Intel certifies to work is the 2.6 GHz (
here), so if you want to play it safe, stick to 2.6 (Which will also be significantly cheaper than the 3.4 Socket 478), but 3.4 SHOULD work (Just make sure you can return it if it doesn't).
