before you rush out and spend any money it would be best if you check further into your motherboard so you can be 100% sure it will accept the new cpu, there is a little application freely available called CPUZ that will help you to identify it, its available from here http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-131.zip (direct download link)
