Q-Fan does not work well in this board if your fan spins slower than 4000 rpm. For instance if you have an 80mm CPU fan that spins at 2000rpm, with Q-Fan enabled it may not spin at all or too slow for the sensor to detect it, so be careful.
BTW, I'm no longer using this board, but I remember that to use Q-Fan you had to plug the CPU fan in another socket, not the one for CPU-Fan. I think this was documented.
