On the specs for my mobo (ASUS A7N8X-X) it says about non-ECC but apparently I didn't check this when I order my memory (Kingston 256 DDR400 PC3200 Cl3 Memory Module).

I'm thinking of expanding somewhat. What do I need to check for this time? And what is the difference between ECC and otherwise?
