That's definitely not true. Tom's Hardware made this test once with an old AMD processor and ever since then this has been a myth spread everywhere. I'll try to find some documents to see how the temp bus speed correction works (or whatever this is called)
+ modern mobos have the error preventing capability to shutdown the PC if the temperature of the CPU is above the limits (which for an AMD is 80 Degrees Celsius or so)
