The Front Side Bus (FSB) is the speed that the CPU communicates with the RAM. The latest Pentium 4 motherboard supplies an external frequency of 200MHz. The data is transfered four times per cycle giving an effective FSB of 800MHz. This is why you see the term quad pumped.

400 = 4 x 100
533 = 4 x 133
800 = 4 x 200
