I like the last selection you entered in that poll (only an artist would consider that avenue lol) I say it’s advertiser heaven… when your work goes global via the internet (file-sharing especially) the consumer/pirate only through painstaking diligence might get ‘all’ of your stuff but that is very highly un-likely. For e.g. I found a band called the Flametrick Subs (on a compilation that I bought!) & when Audio Galaxy was still thriving I managed to get about a dozen more various tracks… I liked them so much I the ‘pursued’ the albums (128k sound quality actually blows). These ‘albums’ were ‘imports’ here… that being the case a single album extracted $30.00 plus from my pockets!!! (who’s the pirate now?)… Point being we are sold a lot of garbage and you really do need file-sharing to check your goods. What’s the diff. exploited by the record companies or file-sharing. Make your money at the concert/show level… the way it should be.
