I had ordered and now recieved an athlon xp (2500) cpu. On it, there are some foam pads that would obstruct the heatsink when it goes on. When I have installed athlons before, I have taken them off and they run without problem, except for a thin black dot that remains from each pad
Does anyone know whether there is a reason that they are on them or that I shouldn't take them off?
